Learn how to upload property photos, surveys, aerial images, documents, reports, links and other property-related attachments to a Premium or Featured Listing.

Part of the process for adding a new listing includes uploading images and other attachments related to the property. And with Premium and Featured Listings, you can add an unlimited number of photos and attachments. These items appear as either images in the expandable photo gallery slideshow at the top of the listing or as clickable icons and links below that photo gallery.  In addition to these property-specific images and attachments, you also can use the same interface to upload a headshot photo and firm logo that is applied to all of your listings (read this article for more about uploading headshot photos and firm logos). Uploading additional photographs and attachments in your listings is a benefit of Premium and Featured listings on LotNetwork.com, and this feature is not available for Basic/MLS listings on the site.

Note: If you are an agent or broker using our Auto-Upgrade Feature to create your new Premium and Featured Listings, all of your property photos should be automatically uploaded into your new listing for you when it is created.  You will need to add any other types of non-photo files, links or attachments as described in this article.

How to Upload Photos and other Files

You can add your photos and files while entering a new listing, or you can always come back and edit your existing listing by uploading additional items.

New Listings

When adding a new listing, Step 2 of the process includes the interface for uploading all of your property photos and attachments.

Tip: Adding a new listing directly on the site involves an easy 3-step process: (1) Add Property Information, (2) Upload Photos/Files and (3) Preview and Post your Listing.

Existing Listings

For uploading property photos and attachments to existing listings in your account (whether they are Active, Inactive, Incomplete, etc.), you'll need to get into the Edit Listing process for each listing. If you are not there yet, then go to the My Listings page first to access the process under the My LotNetwork dropdown menu (Log In with your email address and password so that you can access the My LotNetwork areas).

If you already have entered Premium or Featured listings in LotNetwork.com, those listings will be shown in your My Listings area. If you have not entered any listings yet, then just wait to add your property photographs and attachments when you are adding your listings as noted above for New Listings.

For existing listings, while on the My Listings page you can click the "Add Photos/Attachments" link under the Actions column next to a thumbnail view of that listing. This will open the Edit listing process in Step 2, Upload Photos/Files.

Upload Selection Buttons

The process for uploading your photos, files, links and attachments is the same.  When on Step 2 of the Create or Edit Listing process, just click the appropriate "Upload" button on this page.

Choose your Upload button based on the type of file and where you want the item to be displayed:

  1. Upload Photo/File -- These property image files will appear in the photo display/slideshow at the top of the listing (includes files like JPEG, JPG, GIF, PNG).
  2. Upload File -- These documents, reports, brochures and other files will appear in the "Other Attachments & Links" area of your listing (includes files like JPEG, PDF, DOC, TIF).
  3. Upload Links -- These listing-related web links will appear in the "Other Attachments & Links" area of your listing.

TIP: If your file is not the right kind of file for the area that you want it displayed (like a PDF document file of a survey, but you want to display the survey in the Listing's photo gallery designed for photos/image files), then you can save that file on your computer as the appropriate type of file so you can display it where you wish.  For example, you can do a screenshot of a survey PDF and save the file as a PNG file to display the survey in the photo gallery. Pop Ups for Uploading Property-Related Photos, Images and Files (excluding Links)

After clicking the desired button, an Upload pop up appears where you can select your image/attachment and add it to your listing.  Simply click the "Choose File" button (shown below) when adding a photo/image or other file.

Then a pop up or folder will appear on your computer for you to choose the file that you wish to upload. Find the right folder on your computer and select the desired image/attachment file. The following is an example of a file selection window from a Windows computer.

After choosing your file, then you can enter a title for the image/attachment (optional). You must select a "Type" for the photo or file so that the system will know where to display it on your listing's page.  Most photos are added as a "Property Photo", but you can be as specific as you wish here.  Also be sure to read the pop up details and check the box as indicated about your files.  Then click the "Continue Upload" button and the item will be added to your listing.

NOTE: For system security and stability purposes, files and attachments are limited to 4MB maximum in size.  This provides plenty of resolution for very high quality online photos in your listings. Feel free to contact us at customerservice@lotnetwork.com if you need help.

Pop Up for Uploading Property-Related Links (only)

If you selected the Upload Links button to add a web link to your listing, then the pop up looks slightly different.

Add your link using its web address or URL (you can just enter something like "www.example.com") and a Title to be displayed in your listing. Then read the remainder of the pop up, complete the checkbox as appropriate and click "Continue Upload".  Now your property-related links will be displayed in your listing below the photo gallery slideshow area.

NOTE: You can add a web link for your overall firm (that is not just property-related) in the Member Information area of the My Account page (look under the My LotNetwork drop down menu). This link will appear in your Contact Information for all of your listings.

Differences for Member Photos, Member Logos and Builder Logos

As noted in this other article, Member Photos and Member Logos can be uploaded in Step 2 while adding images and files for your property. But, a Member Photo and Logo are not property-specific and will apply to ALL of your listings. If you add these to your account, the Member Photo and/or Member Logo will be displayed separately in the upper right part of the Upload Photos/Files page for all of your listings. These photos will be instantly saved for you after you have uploaded them.

Also note that a "Builder Logo" can be uploaded via the Step 2 Photo Upload interface. The Builder Logo is not displayed in the photo gallery at the top of the listing, nor is it displayed with the main Seller Contact Information in the listing -- the Builder Logo is shown in a separate section in that particular listing that shows information about the homebuilder and/or developer. But unlike the Member Logo and Member Photo, the Builder Logo does not apply to your entire account and is not shown across all your listings since some members work with a number of Builders and may need to display a separate Builder Logo based on the listing.

Reviewing Your Photos and Attachments

You can click on your listing thumbnail in the My Listings area to see one of your listings, and check out how the photos and attachments look in your listing.  Depending on the quality and layout of your image file, you may find that some photos or images do not display well. Using a good quality image can help fix display issues.

Updating or Replacing Your Photos and Attachments

If you'd like to update or replace one of your images, files or links, just delete the current version by using the red "X" under the photo, red "X" on the document icon for files/attachments or the red "-" on the link icon for web links (see below image for where these items are displayed in the Photo Upload page). Then you can add your updated photo or image as you wish using the same process described above.  And, of course, just let us know if you need any help.
